1. Start with the substrate
Film structure, thickness, surface treatment, ink, drying and operating conditions must be considered together for PE, PP, BOPP and other substrates.
2. Define the real print job
State the colors, repeat range, print width, register expectation, ink system and typical job length. A two-color inline job and a six-color stack job have different demands.
3. Describe the production line
Explain standalone or inline use, upstream and downstream equipment, floor space, web path and utility conditions.
4. Separate required and optional systems
Servo, ceramic anilox, chamber doctor blade, rubber-roller metering, load-cell tension, edge control and PLC/HMI should be selected from process need.
5. Request a written technical scope
Before comparing prices, compare the confirmed substrate, dimensions, speed conditions, included equipment, installation, training, warranty and support.
